Proposal for Tramper to be homed at Malham Tarn

Yesterday I had the news that the National Trust in principal have agreed to home a tramper, that is, of course I can fund one.!

The tramper was demonstrated at an Open day, during the summer, and it was agreed that the tarn would be the ideal place to home an all terrain wheel chair.

The cost of the tramper is about £5,000, plus another £300 for insurance and maintenance.

Added to the cost of that is also a trailer to move the tramper to different locations.

Malham Tarn is the ideal setting for a tramper.Hopefully this will be the first of many trampers located in different parts of the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire.

Malham Tarn is a glacial lake near the village of Malham in the Yorkshire Dales,

The site was the inspiration for Charles Kingsley‘s 1863 novel, The Water Babies

The film of the Water Babies can be watched on YOUTUBE

    A great Project !!

    • So far 1% of the total amount has been raised. I am sure that the Monet will be raised before the summer. This is my hope. Will be at Malham Tarn next week to meet with National Trust.
Thank you for your continued support
